NIGHT RACING TOUGH ON THE EATS?
Some of these night races make it tough to find time to explore food-finds and enjoy a nice dinner. So why not breakfast? Try River City Diner (it's on our list). Also, if you find some good breakfast spots, take a pic and put it on our facebook page!

THE CHASE IS ON... ALMOST
It's the last race before the Chase and a critical portion of the NASCAR schedule. Make sure to come out and see some action at Richmond Int'l Raceway this weeeknd

NITRO BBQ AND CRUSHIN SCALLOPS!
We had a blast in Montreal shooting a food adventure documentary. We were honored to have NHRA Drag racing star Bob Tasca III and CFL Football big-guy Taylor Robertson join us.  A big thanks to those guys and our host and fellow foodie Dominic Fugère.

LONNIE IS ON HIS WAY
Lonnie Clouse's Mission has become a permanent fixture on our site. That is because we believe in what he and his family are doing. The former Nationwide Series chaplain (MRO) for several years and his family are moving to Mexico to care for orphans.

They are currently making the long drive to their new home across the border.  Please pray for them and support their mission. click here

River City Diner
(NASCAR Media Group's "Eagle" Jason Allison Pick)
You want a good 50's Diner? Well, this one does the trick for sure.  It's open 24/7 so that means you can hit it before or after a long day at the track.  Bring coins for the jukebox and be ready to get full!

The Black Sheep
(MD Pick)
Night races make it harder for us NASCAR people to get dinner on the road. The Black Sheep has great lunch and dinner but what we want to highlight is their breakfast. Creativity indeed! Roast Duck Hash, Salmon Hash, Bayou Breakfast (featuring catfish) makes this a breakfast foodie find for sure. Check em out!

Ronnie's Ribs Wings & Other Things
(NASCAR.com's Bill Baker Pick)
Bill Baker CAN'T be wrong. The NASCAR.com editor wrote in and strongly suggests that Speedeats.com followers hit Ronnie's joint in Richmond.

The full slab is approximately 4-pounds of trimmed ribs! Oooh baby! They are spiced with Ronnie's own rub and sauced with their yummy homemade sauce. There is not much on the menu but what they do have, they pile high on your plate. We like it that way!

Dunn's Drive In Barbecue
(MD Pick)
It's been around since 1935. Right around the block from the track.  Not the place you might see and say "oh yeah, I want to go there," but trust me when I say it is yummy.  Good barbecue. The onion rings are the bomb!

It's takout only so bring it back to your room. If you can make it back before tearing into it!

Richbrau
(MD Pick)
In Historic Shockoe Slip, this brewhouse / restaurant was the first of it's kind in Richmond. I've been there a few times because it's right down the block from where I usually stay.

You can't go wrong with a burger, Shepard's Pie or Fish n' Chips to accompany a nice ice-cold brew.

Dot's Back Inn
(MD and Everyone Pick!)
This place should be on the top of your list for Richmond. It is a favorite of many in the NASCAR garage. I know it is also a hot-spot for several people I work with in racing.

A true neighborhood hot-spot serving up a heap-load of classic diner dishes. GREAT stuff. Dot's Back Inn was also featured on Triple-D. If you don't know what Triple-D stands for, get a TV! Guy Fieri is the man.
