Speedeats is ready for a Daytona favorite... Brickyard Burger! Nothing fancy, but a good simple burger!
Our Deck Down Under
Best Seafood around and great atmosphere. Everyone knows and everyone goes!  Enjoy peel n' eat Shrimp under the Port Orange Bridge. Fried Seafood platters are the best around. MD's favorite.

The name says it all. If you are a vampire, do not enter. If you love great Italian food, it's a Daytona area MUST.  Enjoy heaping plates of great italian food in a quaint atmosphere.

Try the Spuntitori Italiano, aka... the Big Bowl of Meat.  It's a favorite if Racing Electronic's Kevin Hughes.

Spotter Frank Bolter went to the place for the first time after seeing the Speedeats video in February and loved the place. "I had the Bocce Ball (giant meatball) and it was amazing," said Frank.  "It might be my all-time favorite place to eat on the road."

The Brickyard
Best Burger in town and in an awesome building just minutes from DIS on International Speedway Blvd. Television's Perrin brothers (Patrick and Scotty) have hyped this local eatery for obvious reasons. Oh, it's the big triangle building in case you didn't know!  JJ Yeley was there when we tried this local legend in February.

Racing's North Turn
The food is good, the ocean-front deck is breathtaking, and the racing history is tops.  It's a mini Hall of Fame of NASCAR and Daytona Beach Racing.  In two-trips during 2010 Speedweeks we saw Cotton Owens dining and listening to his grandson play live music as well as Legends Bobby and Donnie Allison eating the restaurant that stands at the original North Turn of the Beach Course.

MD says get the Mad Marion Melt, named after beach racer and racing folk legend Mad Marion MacDonald.

Stonewood Grill and Tavern
Great steak and seafood at a nice sit-down ambiance. best describes Stonewood. The restaurant is so good it has locations open all over Florida now.  Stonewood is a favorite of SPEED reporter Bob Dillner.

DAYTONA
THE FAT...

Where else should you eat in Daytona?
If you head over towards Smyrna and want a late-night meal, we always go to Gilly's Pub-44 in Smyrna Beach.  It's the hot-spot to go eat and have a cold beverage after the Short Track races at New Smyrna Speedway.  The Smyrna track holds nine action packed nights of racing during Speedweeks. You should check the racing out and hang with the drivers and crews afterwards. It's a Speedweeks Tradition!

How about some fancy eats?  If you are going to Daytona maybe for the first time call ahead and get a reservation at the Chart House. It's a place that has always been a favorite of NASCAR's founding family, the France's.  Bring your checkbook! It's pricey but downright good gourmet food for a special night out.
