Always Listen to Ol' Herm
Racer and Spotter, Mike Herman Jr, is a huge fan of Speedeats. Ol' Herm and MD dine out together all the time. Herm says suggests Monti's. "The building was built in 1871, and Monti's the restaurant opened in 1956," says Herm. "I went there a couple times a few years back and it was good."

K&N West Series Cranks It Up Saturday!
If you are in Phoenix for the races check out the K&N Pro West Series race at Phoenix on Saturday night November 10th. It's always a great show!
CZECH STOP! Kolaches in West, TX
It's as random and brilliant as it sounds...just click and watch!
Red Jade Chicken Quesidillas with a Green Emerald Chicken Burrito, Jerk Fried Rice and Beans! THIS is the fusion of flavors that make Chino Bandido so unique!

Chino Bandido
This place ROCKS! An affordable place that fuses asian and mexican cuisine. Yes, it's strange but it's A-MAZING! The bulding isn't anything special. It's not fancy, but it is a MUST while in Phoenix.
Sprint's Kerry Gilbert tee'd us up to Chino and we listen to everything he suggests. This place is awesome and one of the more unusual places you'll eat at on the road.

Barrio Cafe
Original is the best way to describe Barrio!
Established in 2002 by partners Wendy Gruber & chef Silvana Salcido Esparza, The Barrio was a dream come true for the duo -- a little neighborhood eatery providing authentic southern Mexico cuisine and chef's original creations in a unpretentious atmosphere. Mission accomplished! The Barrio Cafe has been hailed as one of the hottest & original restaurants to hit Phoenix.
MD and his "road partner in crime" Jason Allison (aka Eagle) go to this place EVERY time we go to Phoenix. Barrio features a creative menu full of great mexican food. Local art hangs from the walls. They have 250 choices of tequila.

T-Bones Steakhouse
True Cowboy Steak. You feel like you are a part of the wild west in this secluded hideaway. Great steak and a breathtaking view of the valley.
It is located on the side of South Mountain and was once a private residence. Constructed in the 1920's out of river rock and adobe, the building was turned into a restaurant in the 1940's that catered to local ranchers and farmers. In 1972, it was named the T-Bone Steakhouse and has been a local favorite ever since.

Rustler’s Rooste
Another great place for Cowboy steaks. Though not in it’s original location, The Rooste still has a fantastic atmosphere. It’s a favorite of a lot of NASCAR teams.

Stacy’s Smokehouse
“Chicken with Soul” is one of their monikers. Their smoked chicken is the staple. This place is a barbecue haven in Phoenix. Their Beef ribs are another menu favorite.

TeePee Taproom
Downtown? THIS is a must then. We learned about TeePee from a local and you should usually listen to locals! Teepee Taproom is so good the president has eaten there. It's one of the oldest and best places in Phoenix for authentic Mexican food. Nothing fancy.

Rancho De Tia Rosa
While Barrio has been a favorite of Speedeats.com for the past few years, we were reminded of another place. Well, looking into it we realized that we had been there before. Yes... folks...it surely makes our list of good food options.
It's a hacienda with atmosphere that rivals the wonderful menu of fresh southwest/mexican food.
