The Chicken Pot Pie at Hash House A Go Go is slightly EPIC in the large-department as NASCAR.com's Justin Oppman found out.

Working on your portion-control? Haaaa!  Stay away from Hash House A Go Go.  The place serves monster gourmet dishes that are a unique spin on traditional midwest farm food.

Our friends at Racing Electronics introduced us to Hash House.  We took the Turner Sports / NASCAR.com folks there during banquet week.

Try the Sage Fried Chicken Hardwood Smoked Bacon Waffles!  They're breakfast is legendary as well.

Oh... they have a location on the strip but it's worth the drive or cab-ride to go to the location off the strip. We prefer that one!

Polish Deli
Las Vegas... Polish food?  Why the heck not?  Rubbingsracing.com reporter Farrah Kaye's mother suggests this place. What? An excuse to eat Kielbasa and Pierogies... I'm In!

Word on the street is that they have a ton of great meat at the counter and a variety of Pierogies! Yummmmmmm!

Michael's Gourmet Room
Michael's has consistently been one of the top restaurants reviewed in Las Vegas. Why does Speedeats include it? Well truthfull for more than just the reviews and tasty dishes.  Our buddy, NASCAR driver Brendan Gaughan and his family own the South Point Casino that Michael's is a part of.  It's one of Brendan's favorite food spots and should be one of yours too!

The Peppermill
From Ol' Herm himself:  Are you in search of "Old School Vegas?"  Then look no further than the Peppermill, located between the Riviera & Encore on the Las Vegas Strip.  Step inside the Fireside Lounge, and you'll go straight back in time to 1974 & the Elvis Years.   Whether it's 3am or 3pm, the Peppermill is the coolest ultra lounge in Vegas.  Grab a seat by the firepit and unwind by enjoying a famous "Scorpion."  If the neon decor looks familiar, just imagine Robert De Niro & Sharon Stone in the movie "Casino."  One of the famous scenes with Ace & Ginger was filmed inside the Peppermill.

If you're in search of eats, then stay to the right, and walk into the 24 Hour Restaurant & Coffee Shop.  Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Peppermill has it all, with big portions that will leave you satisfied.

Agave Restaurant
Authentic Mexican cuisine with a very modern setting. I went there with my cousin and her family while in Vegas in the spring and enjoyed the meal. Creative menu.

STRAIGHT UP VEGAS FROM OUR PAL B-TWIST...
"First off, my Las Vegas recommendations," says our Boston friend B-Twist.  "Best buffett in Vegas is at the Rio..the purple hotel right off the strip by palms.  Hidden gem my mailman tells me is the steakhouse at Circus Circus..i know huh? Nobody would ever guess!"

STEEL PANTHER. YES PLEASE
If you like 80's hair metal and have a sense of humor., check out the band "Steel Panther" on Friday night live at The House of Blues in Vegas.

KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY! GO SOUTH POINT
I've always been a fan of supporting those who support our sport. So, with that said... go to South Point Casino.  It's a real nice place too.  The Gaughan family owns the place and they sponsor a NASCAR Nationwide Series car.  Why put your money in machines that don't put back into our sport?  Food for though eh?

SPECIAL THANKS
Special thanks to our friends Kyle Petty and Rutledge Wood for their shoutout of Speedeats.com on NASCAR.com last Saturday in Phoenix.  They have a live video chat on Saturday's on NASCAR.com that is a MUST.  Very entertaining.
