The best fresh fish plate in the Daytona area? We say "Our Deck Down Under." A favorite of our Matthew Dillner for years. Try the peel n' eat shrimp too!

The Brickyard
You crave a drip down the arm juicy All American Cheeseburger? Yeah, GO TO BRICKYARD!!! The burgers are great and the wings are pretty stout too... especially if you get them flashed on the grill. It's just minutes from DIS on International Speedway Blvd. Television's Perrin brothers (Patrick and Scotty) told us about Brickyard years ago. Oh, it's the big triangle building in case you didn't know! We've seen NASCAR racer JJ Yeley in there and we know spotter/Mod driver Mike Herman Jr is a fixture at the famed Brickyard triangle.

Our Deck Down Under
THE BEST Seafood around and great atmosphere. As far as the NASCAR garage is concerned... everyone knows and everyone goes! Enjoy peel n' eat Shrimp under the Port Orange Bridge. Fried Seafood platters are the best around. MD's favorite. Why? It's fresh seafood and not a ritzy atmosphere.
78 Dunlawton Avenue
Port Orange, FL

Racing's North Turn
This place is a must for racing history buffs. It's not a tourist trap, it really breathes the history of Daytona Beach racing. The food is good, the ocean-front deck is breathtaking, and the racing history is tops. It's a mini Hall of Fame of NASCAR and Daytona Beach Racing. In two-trips during 2010 Speedweeks we saw Cotton Owens dining and Legends Bobby and Donnie Allison eating the restaurant that stands at the original North Turn of the Beach Course.
MD says get the Mad Marion Melt, named after beach racer and racing folk legend Mad Marion MacDonald.
4511 South Atlantic Avenue
Ponce Inlet, FL
(386) 322-3258
The Garlic
Our Matthew Dillner will be at The Garlic at some point during Speedweeks as it is his favorite Italian joint in the area. The name says it all. If you are a vampire, do not enter. If you love great Italian food, it's a Daytona/Smyrna area MUST. Enjoy heaping plates of great italian food in a quaint atmosphere.
Try the Spuntitori Italiano, aka... the Big Bowl of Meat. It's a favorite if Racing Electronic's Kevin Hughes.
Spotter Frank Bolter went to the place for the first time after seeing the Speedeats video and loved the place. "I had the Bocce Ball (giant meatball) and it was amazing," said Frank. "It might be my all-time favorite place to eat on the road."
556 East 3rd Avenue
New Smyrna Beach, FL
(386) 424-6660
The Cracked Egg Diner
Are you a breakfast person? Well, if so... this is your place. We stumbled upon the Cracked Egg while taking a drive down A1A during Speedweeks. This little un-asuming strip mall diner doesnt look too impressive from outside, but the line didn't lie. Inside was a cute atmosphere serving up good home cooking. From chipped beef to loaded omlettes, the breakfast tips the yum scale. The Apple Fritters were real good too. They are open for breakfast and lunch.
3280 South Atlantic Avenue
Daytona Beach Shores, FL

La's Bistro
Great food find and a unique atmosphere welcome you to La's. It's a perfect place to take a date while in the Daytona area. It's a locally owned culinary treat!
Our friend, and foodie, Kelly Schirmer tipped us off to La's. "The brunch is spectacular and dinner is amazzzzzzzzing," says Schirmer. Check it out.
