The Battle at Berlin

Get Sidetracked!
In a small little downtown village of Ypsilanti, Michigan sites a pretty darn cool spot. Friend of Speedeats, NASCAR.com's Justin Oppman, showed us "Sidetrack." Located across the street from a Hudson car museum, Sidetrack is now one of our favorite spots. Who can beat their burgers, sweet potato fries and creative menu? The burgers are handcrafted and delicious. They have a great beer selection as well. We suggest sitting outside in their unique ivy covered patio that gives you a great view of the museum and street.

Mac's Acadian Seafood Grill
It's a hidden little place where the locals like to go. On the way to the track from the Ann Arbor area it's in the small town of Saline, Michigan. There isn't much signage so keep your eye out for it.
Mac's has gourmet seafood in a casual setting at reasonable prices. I'm telling you, this place is awesome. Wood grilled fish... how can you go wrong?

Cottage Inn
The "Original" Cottage Inn started dishing out Italian Food in 1948 and is still going strong. From Italian staples to Greek food, it's an Ann Arbor Staple. It's the first establishment in Ann Arbor to offer pizza (good lil history nugget). MRO's Melanie Self loves the place. "The Bruschetta appetizer is a must," says Melanie.

Poppa's Place
The closest Speedeats Featured Food Find to Michigan Int'l Speedway for sure. Poppa's was tipped to us by Jimmie Johnson's coach driver Viggie, who knows his chow. It's a place that a lot of the coach drivers hit on race weekend. "The Baked Oatmeal is amazing," says Viggie. This is your breakfast joint!
